Sharing is Caring – Bizarre(?) Peanut Butter Sandwich

Welcome to Sharing is Caring Thursday where I will share a post from someone else’s blog, site or news with you and give some of my thoughts on it too. You might recall that I cook and feed people as a way to show my love for them so I’m looking at this as a way to continue showing my love for others.

I found this here but it talks about a new a new project over at Peanut Butter & Co!

I won’t lie, I’m a big fan of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. Yes, I find them to be a perfectly acceptable dinner option. I prefer chunky peanut butter over creamy with apricot or strawberry preserves. I do like black berry preserves also, but apricot and strawberry are my favorites.

I like it on toasted English Muffins or toasted rye bread…regular bread or sandwich thins work too.

But mostly, I like it as your pretty typical option…Those over at Peanut Butter & Co have a new take on the Peanut Butter Sandwich and while some of the options look darn tasty, (Pizzelle Perfect and Peanut Buzzer I’m looking at you!) some of them do not! (Olive you, PB and Et tu, PB?)

You can see their other creations here.

What’s your favorite Peanut Butter and Jelly combo?

If you have a post to share, please feel free to send it on over for me to share with others! It should be cooking or food related and lets aim for positivity!

  1. Stew Says:

Crunchy peanut butter and raspberry preserves on multigrain bread.

    (And it is spelled ‘bizarre.’)

  2. Sue Says:

Reduced fat, crunchy Skippy peanut butter and grape jelly on white bread.

Yes, I know white bread is bad for me. So is the ridiculous amount of peanut butter I use, and the processed sugar in the jelly. It may in fact kill me, but I will die happy.

I don’t care about the brand, or if it’s jam or jelly (what’s the difference?) but it does need to be grape. If I can’t have reduced fat, that’s okay, and if there’s no crunchy, I’ll survive. But it has to be Skippy.

I’ll also bend on the white and put it on wheat. See? I can compromise. 🙂

  3. Dri Says:

Crunchy peanut butter, brand optional but must be crunchy extra crunchy if possible. Only acception is if it’s all natural skippy then it can be smooth.

Strawberry jam. Not jelly, jam. Yes there is a difference. Jame has more fruit pieces in it where jelly is more like thick jello….gross. Doesn’t have to be strawberry but can never be grape. Acceptable flavors include boysenberry, blueberry or blackberry. Mmmmm blackberry.

Feel free to substitute Nutella for the jam but only on special occasions because it’s soooooo good!

Bread can be any form of whole wheat or whole grain. The heartier the better. Never white bread, it just seems chewy to me. Toasted sometimes.

    Damn now I’m hungry.
